Sorry for Doubting It

Steve waited almost a full season before buying.
He’d been looking at the Kompact Tree Spade for a while. Thinking about it. Probably talking himself in and out of it a few times. The question in his head was simple enough: will this thing actually move trees?
It’s a fair question. A 600-pound attachment that runs off a compact tractor — it doesn’t look like what most people picture when they think ” compact tree spade.” Most tree spades are heavy, commercial, built for machines that cost more than a pickup truck.
This one isn’t.
So Steve waited. And then, eventually, he bought the 26″ Kompact.
About a week later, he sent a message back.
“Sorry for doubting the product. This thing works better than advertised.”
That’s it. That’s the whole review.
The doubt is understandable
When something looks simpler than you expect, it’s natural to wonder if something’s missing.
Swantech builds a compact tree spade lighter than other 26″ spades on the market — intentionally, to fit the compact equipment most people already own. At 600 pounds, it works with machines in the 900lb lift range that would choke on a standard 1,000-pound spade.
Simple doesn’t mean weak. It means it was designed for a different machine than the commercial stuff — and it works.
Steve figured that out about a week into using it.
If you’ve been thinking about it
Most people who reach out have been watching for a while. They’ve got trees they want to move. A new property. A project that’s been on the back burner. They’re just not sure if the Kompact will actually do what it says.
Steve was in the same spot.
If that sounds familiar, you’re probably closer to a decision than you think. The 26″ model handles trees up to 2.75″ in diameter and runs off your existing hydraulics. It mounts on pallet forks — and if your machine’s forks aren’t the right fit, there’s a quick-attach option that works on compact tractors and smaller setups too. If you’ve got a compact tractor or skid steer, chances are you’re already equipped.
