36″ Kompact Tree Spade

Best for trees up to 3.5-3.75″ diameter

• Digging depth: 31″
• Minimum tractor requirements: 35 HP, 1,500 lbs lift capacity
• Handles larger, more established trees

When Should You Transplant?

Best times: Spring (March-May) and Fall (September-November) when soil moisture is naturally high and trees are dormant or semi-dormant.

But it’s possible year-round with proper care. The key factor is soil moisture – trees can be successfully moved any time of year if you’re prepared to water regularly and set up drip irrigation.

Moist soil is essential for digging. If conditions are dry, you’ll need to water the area thoroughly before transplanting or wait for rain.
